What’s the problem?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Construction of Rooney School was completed in 2018 on sun-baked farmland. While our school building is new and modern, our playground will benefit from improvements.

Our teachers and staff dedicate their focus each day to guiding our children in the classroom. We feel that as parents and members of the community we can work together to make the area outside the school the best it can be.

Our goal is to transform the playground by planting trees and other projects to create a more beautiful, shaded, and engaging space for all our students to enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n

Together we will plant trees at Rooney Elementary School to transform our playground. Trees are an investment to provide generations of our students protection from the harsh wind and sun they struggle with today.

Take a moment and imagine a playground that is full of trees. Our teachers will turn lessons into outdoor adventures under the tree canopy. Students will discover new friendships as they explore nature together. Our neighborhood will enjoy the beauty and privacy that the trees will provide.
